What amazing Faith

Oh, to have been one of those Kings. To have had the honor and privilege of seeing our Messiah, Christ Jesus face to face. How must that have felt? What must they have thought? The prophecy, the star sighting, the decision to go, and the trip. So much preparation, months of travel, did this all even make sense? Were they on the right path to this Messiah? Would they actually find Him? How would He change their lives? Then the reward, after days of hot hard travel, there it was stopped over that house in that town, on that night. They had found Him. Would they be welcomed? They were not of His people and yet, though they may not have known it, the Angels had already announced, that He had been born for all people.

Luke 2:10–11 NKJV

10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.

11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

They would be both accepted and welcomed. He had come for them. He had come for everyone and truly the world would never be the same.

And now as we remember and celebrate this season of Epiphany, we should understand just how blessed we are. He came to bring us kindness, brotherhood, salvation from our sins, and true and unconditional love. These Kings had a faith we would all do well to note, study, and emulate. They were willing to leave family, friends, everything to find Him, the One who had been prophesied, the One who came to save, The Messiah. What are you willing to do, to give, to sacrifice, for nothing short of eternal life with Him, Jesus Christ, in paradise?
